Since 2003, RS²D develops and provides a large range of products and services in the field of NMR. In order to extend its existing offer and because of all its know-how in the field of NMR, RS²D has developed in 2005 its own proprietary electronics and software designed both for spectroscopy and imaging.

In early 2008, this development has allowed RS²D to grant the University Hospital of Strasbourg partnership request in order to design and develop a preclinical MRI system dedicated to small laboratory rodents. Since early 2011, this project has lead to the OPTImouse 1.5™ system, answering growing needs for preclinical research.

OPTImouse 1.5™ brings to the biomedical community an innovative preclinical imaging system, providing high imaging performance together with easy to use capabilities. The system is very compact, easy to install and multi-modality adapted. OPTImouse 1.5™ is installed and running at the Preclinical Imaging Laboratory in Strasbourg since early 2011.

New preclinical MRI system at 1.5T clinical field for the biomedical community

OPTImouse 1.5™ is a preclinical molecular Imaging system dedicated to small laboratory rodents to reach biomedical research and new therapeutics development needs.

OPTImouse 1.5™ is the first preclinical MRI system working at 1.5T clinical field to achieve both quality and simplicity in routine use.

Thanks to its exclusive superconducting magnet technology, its innovative hardware concept (patent under deposit) and an easy-to-use software, OPTImouse 1.5™ brings to the biomedical community a compact, flexible, easy-to-use and optimized system for multi-modality solution.

Referenced expertise

The System is installed and running since early 2011 at the Preclinical Imaging Laboratory, Biophysics and Nuclear Medicine Department, University Hospital of Strasbourg, France.
